Weddings

SAINT MARY'S is a popular choice of venue for couples who are attracted to the light and bright ambience of this unique church.

We seek to provide a caring context within which couples can begin their married life.

The magnificence of the church itself and its setting in attractive gardens lends a wonderful atmosphere to the wedding service, and we seek to do all we can to make your wedding service personal and very special.

We would be delighted should you decide to solemnise your marriage at St Mary’s Church. Here in the midst of the loveliness of this special day for you both you will be surrounded with prayer and receive God's blessing on your new life together.

Our prayer is that you will experience in your marriage a deepening love and understanding of one another combined with joy and fulfilment and a happy and secure home to share together - and with your family.

If you would like to look more closely at what we have to offer for your wedding at St Mary’s, we would be delighted to meet with you. Please contact the Parish Clergy or the Office. Details are to be found here.

WHAT NEXT?

If you are happy with what we do and would like to make a booking this may be done at the time we meet you. Please contact the Parish Office (see the HOME page).

You should arrange an initial interview within four weeks of booking St Mary’s for your wedding when the booking will be confirmed.

You will be asked to pay a deposit of $100.

At the initial interview, the details of your wedding plans will be taken. This will give you an opportunity to ask any further questions you may have, and to take a note of matters about which you will need to make decisions.

We will also look at such matters as

  • music for the wedding;
  • flowers in the church;
  • the choices regarding the order of service,
  • including readings and prayers;
  • photo and video people

and anything else you may want to discuss.

The State Government forms that have to be completed will also be dealt with at this time. You will need to bring with you your BIRTH CERTIFICATE. If you are divorced you will need to bring the divorce papers too.
